About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual with high level fire safety and/or Building Code of Australian skills and knowledge on a temporary full-time basis for up to 2 years. This position will coordinate Council's Fire Safety Program to ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
Essential Criteria
1. Tertiary qualification relating to fire safety and/or has appropriate qualifications to be an unrestricted building surveyor.
2. Demonstrated experience in coordinating projects, relating to buildings assets, essential services, fire safety and BCA Compliance.
3. High level working knowledge of BCA, Fire Safety Regulations, safety compliance and essential fire safety measures and Australian Standards relating to essential services.
4. Demonstrated experience in managing contractors to ensure the safe and effective delivery of services.
5. Demonstrated ability to run stakeholder engagement activities, including meetings or forums.
6. Current Class C driver license.
