The Role
As a Clinical Specialist, you will serve as a clinical and technical expert, supporting the education, training, and implementation of ZOLL’s innovative products in healthcare settings. This role bridges the gap between technology and clinical application, ensuring that healthcare professionals can effectively integrate ZOLL’s solutions into their workflows to improve patient outcomes. In this dynamic and customer-facing role, you will work closely with clinicians, administrators, and sales teams to deliver hands-on training, resolve technical issues, and foster long-term relationships with customers. You will have the unique opportunity to combine your clinical expertise with cutting-edge technology to drive the adoption and success of ZOLL’s products.
Roles and Responsibilities
Clinical Education and Training:
1. Conduct comprehensive training programs for healthcare professionals on the proper use and application of ZOLL products, such as defibrillators, patient monitors, CPR feedback devices, and data solutions.
2. Tailor training sessions to the needs of diverse audiences, including physicians, nurses, paramedics, and technicians.
3. Develop customised training plans and educational materials to ensure effective learning and retention.
Customer Support:
1. Provide in-field clinical support during product implementation, including on-site guidance and post-installation follow-ups.
2. Serve as the first point of contact for clinical inquiries, offering expert advice and assistance to resolve customer challenges.
3. Deliver real-time support during critical care situations where ZOLL products are in use, ensuring optimal performance and outcomes.
Product Demonstrations:
1. Conduct engaging product demonstrations for prospective and existing customers, showcasing the clinical and operational benefits of ZOLL’s solutions.
2. Collaborate with the sales team to provide clinical insights that highlight the value of ZOLL’s products in meeting customer needs.
Technical Troubleshooting:
1. Assist with technical and clinical troubleshooting, working closely with the technical support team to address and resolve any product-related issues.
2. Ensure customers are confident and satisfied with the performance of ZOLL devices.
Customer Relationship Management:
1. Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with healthcare providers, administrators, and key decision-makers.
2. Act as a clinical resource and advocate, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
3. Engage in regular communication with customers to assess their ongoing needs and provide additional support when necessary.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
1. Partner with sales, marketing, technical services, and operations teams to share customer feedback and insights that can drive product enhancements and innovation.
2. Assist in the development of clinical resources, white papers, and case studies to highlight the effectiveness of ZOLL’s solutions.
Market and Industry Expertise:
1. Stay current with clinical best practices, industry trends, and emerging technologies relevant to ZOLL’s products and services.
2. Represent ZOLL Medical at industry conferences, trade shows, and clinical events, providing thought leadership and support to build the company’s reputation as a market leader.
Compliance and Reporting:
1. Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with company policies, regulatory standards, and ethical guidelines.
2. Maintain accurate documentation of training sessions, customer interactions, and support activities for internal reporting and quality assurance.
Qualifications and Skills
1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Paramedicine, Biomedical Science, or a related healthcare discipline, or equivalent clinical experience.
2. Clinical Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, with a focus on critical care, emergency medicine, or pre-hospital care.
3. Technical Proficiency: Ability to understand and explain the technical aspects of medical devices, including software and hardware features.
4. Communication Skills: Exceptional presentation, training, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and educate diverse audiences.
5. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to address customer challenges effectively.
6. Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel frequently, including overnight stays, to meet customer and business needs.
7. Licensing: A valid driver’s license is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Previous experience with ZOLL Medical products or similar medical devices.
2. Certification in advanced life support (ALS/ACLS).
3. Experience as a clinical educator, trainer, or applications specialist in the medical device or healthcare industry.
4. Familiarity with data management systems or software used in clinical settings.
