The nuts and bolts of the role:
Transferable skills are the key - you don't neccessarily need a background in construction.
1. Prepare short and long-term resource allocation plans based on input from all key players (supervisors and forepersons) and team members meeting weekly to capture operational changes and updates.
2. Recommend modifications to resource allocation plans to improve effectiveness and attain project milestones.
3. Alignment and update of projects within the Field Staff Resource Calendar; managing conflicts and updating forecasts to match project schedules.
4. Manage and own resource allocation plan and tools.
5. Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite (Especially MS Excel) and experience with Ellipse highly desirable.
6. Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with Supervisors, Forepersons and Leadership teams.
7. Work collaboratively, influencing and building relationships at all levels of an organisation.
8. Support long term workforce planning initiatives that will inform better business decisions on headcount and reporting to understand workforce impacts from changes in demand and supply.
9. Participate in the continuous improvement of systems and frameworks to ensure a best practice approach to workforce planning.
10. Develop workforce metrics, dashboard, reporting and analytics to deliver workforce insights.
11. Assist co-ordination of training, without disrupting operational requirements as required.
