Based within the Engineering/Maintenance Team, you would undertake project work, day-to-day maintenance tasks, repairs, and services.
When required you will also be the backup for the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor.The position is on dayshift, four days a week, (Monday - Thursday) 10 hours per shift with overtime on 5th day as required (typically 5 - 10 hours).
On infrequent occasions, there may be a requirement to rotate into the nightshift maintenance fitter's role during periods of leave.Key criteria requiredAustralian recognised Mechanical Trade qualificationsAble to lead and motivate technical personnel in day-to-day activitiesDemonstrated experience in maintaining hydraulic and pneumatics systemsAbility to perform mechanical gearbox and pump rebuildsGeneral machining, fitting, and welding skillsDiagnosis and rectification of mechanical machinery issuesSkills and Experience Experience in a demanding industrial/manufacturing environment.1-2 years experience in a similar supervisory role with strong leadership skillsExperience in the use of MEX or similar CMMSLicence to perform High-Risk Work (Forklift Licence, EWP).Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematicsAbility to build strong relationships with all internal departmentsPhysically fit, enthusiastic, great attitude, self-starter with an attention to detailPossess the ability to work autonomously and use your initiative whilst being a key player in a successful maintenance teamBenefits and PerksA positive, supportive team and a role offering independence and growth opportunities.
