About the role Corporate Development is a newly established team within Iglu, focused on developing and refining Iglu's overall strategic direction. Subsequently, an opportunity for a Senior Investment Analyst has arisen to become one of the founding members of this team. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Corporate Development to evaluate initiatives in adjacent sectors, identify and assess potential student accommodation acquisitions, and collaborate with existing and new investors to fund these initiatives. What you will do The tasks include, but are not limited to:Supporting the Head of Corporate Development with acquisition opportunities, including building financial models, undertaking due diligence, negotiation of commercial terms and documentation, and preparation of investment approval papers.Preparation of materials for existing and potential new investors. Assisting the Head of Corporate Development with commercial negotiations and documentation for new investors. Researching and documenting market conditions across Australian living sectors, including current market dynamics, major participants and tax landscape.Supporting the Development team as required to assess development opportunities. What you will need 5+ years' experience covering:Financial analysis including income and cash flow modellingExposure to real estate investment, valuations, and research experience preferredRelevant experience in the following preferred:Property investment fund;Property developer;Real estate services;Superannuation fund, in the property team;Financial analysis services; orBig 4 or mid-tier accounting firm.Strong and/or keen interest in best practice financial modellingDeveloping commercial and negotiation skills.Genuine interest in real estate and capital markets, with curiosity to learn furtherExcellent interpersonal and relationship skillsStrong written, verbal, and visual communication skills, including preparation of PowerPoint presentationsStrong numeracy and analytical skillsHigh accountability, drive, and commitmentHigh attention to detail What's in it for you?
