Management (Mining, Resources & Energy)Government - State (Government & Defence)Full timeAbout the Opportunity As the Commercial Manager, you will support the Future Energy Development Commercial Lead and the wider Customer and Growth Division in bringing selected business development opportunities to the point of execution, and where appropriate, to manage those executed contracts in the best interests of CS Energy.This role will require you to:Analyse and extract complex legal, technical and business issues to negotiate and deliver complex commercial contracts at maximum value;Lead and manage the delivery of projects and initiatives and coordinate involvement of assigned resources, whilst proactively managing risks and promptly addressing and recovering any delivery lags and other variances;Maximise the commercial value of existing contracts through the effective management of contractual and commercial relationships to achieve successful outcomes over the short, medium and long term;Recommend courses of action to key decision makers, based on achieving balanced risk/reward arrangements;Assist in developing sound commercial business cases to support business strategy;Assimilate information from a variety of sources and apply commercial reasoning to complex business situations;Proactively manage risks, integrating business and promptly addressing and resolving any delivery lags and cost variances.This role is responsible for leading and managing the delivery of transactions, coordinating relevant resources and building relationships with external vendors, partners and industry experts to build a strong network, continually develop knowledge and secure opportunities as they arise.About You Degree level qualifications in a relevant discipline such as economics, business, commerce, law or engineering.Demonstrated experience completing high level business analysis and the ability to convey the analysis to any audience.Strong stakeholder management skills, business acumen and sound commercial judgement.Commercially astute with strong analytical and financial skills to ensure successful implementation of business development opportunities.Demonstrated ability to manage delivery partnerships that drive mutually beneficial outcomes whilst delivering benefits and options for customers within a dynamic, competitive and politically sensitive market.Highly developed written and verbal communication skills so as to be able to effectively present ideas and opportunities, gain buy-in and have the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.Strong background in negotiating and managing contractual and commercial relationships and achieving successful outcomes over the short, medium and long term.About Us CS Energy is a proudly Queensland-owned and based energy company that provides power to some of our state's biggest industries and employers.
