Job Description
Embedded Software Engineer
$100 - 140k + super
Sydney
Working on products that get put in the hands of its end users. Getting your hands dirty with state-of-the-art technology. Sounds great. But right now your main goal is to become a Senior, right?
You’d be doing that here, and you could progress to Senior within 12 months.
Some companies see R&D as a cost centre. This company see it as their competitive advantage. So, progressing their best engineers is in their best interest.
That means every year they do their reviews you’ll see real progression. You’ll also be paid a retention bonus which comes in the form of either cash or stock options. As a publicly traded business, that means immediate value.
Where many R&D teams are struggling, these guys have posted record-breaking profits. The team has doubled in size in the last 12 months and there is a tonne of new products and features in the works.
What you’ll be doing
You’d break free from monotony with varied work that spans the design and development of user features, build systems and CI/CD infrastructure all at the interface of low-level electronics.
You’ll be running your own projects in multi-disciplined teams.
Technology ranges from RF, to digital signal processing, FPGA’s, AI and ML
You’ll spend a lot of time on the design and actual delivery of product, which means working with Python and modern C++ in a Linux environment.
The products are real-time, high-performance, networked devices so there’s a lot of networking and communication work across gRPC and TCP.
Your background
4 + years developing software for electronics/at the hardware interface. Linux knowledge a must.
Ideally, you’ve been working on something real-time, safety-critical or resource-constrained.
If you want to find out more, you can send me an email or give me a call. Don’t worry about having a CV ready to go, we can work that out later.
