About the Role Provide clinical leadership to the Logan Older Adult Team. The post holder will work alongside the team leader and be supported by a MDT including an occupational therapist, social worker, psychologists, clinical nurses, CNC, dietician, exercise physiologist and advanced peer worker. The team also has 1 registrar which the position holder will share with another part-time (0.6 FTE) senior medical officer. Provides specialist community-based mental health services at Metro South Hospital and Health Service. Provides inpatient care as required, including participating in the on-call roster. Provides inpatient consultations as requested. Participates in multidisciplinary clinics and meetings. Supervision and teaching of registrars, junior doctors and medical students, and teaching for other members of the multidisciplinary team. Participation and/or leadership of research and quality improvement activities.
