Publications and Prim-Ed Publishing are looking for an editor-in-chief to join our global team. This is an exciting opportunity for either an experienced editor-in-chief or a senior editor or publisher looking to take the next step in their journey. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in educational publishing and a passion for delivering high-quality, relevant content. Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Managing the editing team as well as the internal and external writers Ensuring that published content is consistent with the company style guide Editing, proofreading, writing/re-writing text and ensuring that all work meets publishing standards Negotiating contract terms with new and existing writers Coordinating research into and overseeing the conversion of product into accessible formats Working with the education content manager to develop new product/content for both the physical and digital markets Managing production budgets and timelines, providing updates to the senior management team Working closely with the Marketing and Sales teams, providing editing and copywriting support as well as up-to-date product information. Who are we looking for? We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced person who is interested in getting things done. To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone who meets the following criteria: A background in education is a must Bachelor's degree in a relevant field 5+ years' experience as a senior editor or higher with people management experience Experience publishing in the digital environment Project management experience would be a bonus Have a passion for improvement and innovation in the education sector Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy in all areas Understanding of industry and ethical guidelines How do your skills match this job?
