An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical / Instrumentation to join Service Stream in our Utilities Sector based in, Portland NSW
About the Role
We are now seeking an experienced Electrical / Instrumentation Technician to work as part of a collaborative team.
Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time
Location: Portland, NSW
Reporting Line: Regional Manager
This role will support the maintenance team at our Mt Piper Power Station site.
This is role will provide effective maintenance execution to achieve a safe and highly reliable plant, with minimum down time and efficient use of resources.
* Have A current NSW Electrical Supervisor licence or NSW Electrical Contractor licence or be able to obtain a NSW license
* a dual trade qualification as an A grade electrician and Cert IV Instrumentation Technician or equivalent would be highly regarded
* Instrumentation calibration experience will be considered favourably if Cert IV isn’t part of your qualifications. The successful applicant may be offered further training
* Relevant plant electrical, instrument and control experience in heavy industry, preferably with hands on experience in protection systems and process control
* Exposure to wide range of pressure, level, temperature and flow instrumentation
* Exposure to distributed control, PLC systems
* Current AS3000 design and verification requirements at trade level
* Knowledge of AC and DC Motor control systems
* High level communication skills both written and verbal
* Commitment and good attitude to safety and workplace culture
* Teamwork and willingness to co-operatively share knowledge and expertise
* Communication cabling/Fibre optic tickets/ experience will also be considered favourably
