The Gig An exciting opportunity has become available for a highly confident, professional, and organised Mechanical Project Engineer to join the project. Based in Kurnell, and reporting directly to the Project Delivery Manager, you will ply your trade to ensure the seamless coordination of on-site Mechanical Engineering works for the installation of plant for a brand-new recycling facility. This will involve you leading the charge on design, supervision, organisation, procurement, and documentation, to hit project milestones on targets for time, cost, quality, and safety measures. The new plant will spearhead the business into the next stages of its steps towards creating modern solutions and a circular economy for the construction waste industry in Sydney. With a strong growth plan into the future, you will work on some exciting innovations which will substantively impact the business and their external clients to make a meaningful difference. You will be trusted with: Leading project documentation preparation, including Charter and Management Plans Contributing significantly to scoping documents and briefs for designers and consultants Reviewing design documentation for quality and adherence to project goals Engaging in open communication with senior management, reporting potential issues Identifying and implementing best practices in Mechanical Engineering project design and construction Efficiently planning and organising work for maximum productivity and safety Reviewing and ensuring adherence to production targets and construction schedules Reading and interpreting product specifications and project plans/drawings Coordinating on-site engineering activities to meet project time and budget goals Administering construction engineering activities according to plans and specifications, ensuring financial compliance. Promoting, executing, and adhering to safety systems, encouraging a safety culture among all stakeholders. What’s In Your Toolbox? You will have at least 5 years’ Mechanical Engineering experience, hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, and Knowledge of Mechanical Engineering Projects, including knowledge in works associated with electrical, controls, systems, and processes. You will also have: Knowledge and practical experience on mechanical packages Experience on > $10 M Projects Project Engineer and operational experience knowledge of project management structure, plans, specification, standards and implications for project accountabilities You are an exceptional communicator and have dynamic skills when it comes to problem solving and organising. You adapt well to change and have an exceptional ability to Multi-task and set priorities effectively. You understand the urgency when it comes to deadlines and have confidence and professionalism when engaging internal and external stakeholders.
