What will you be doing?
The role of Manufacturing Process Engineer reports to the Process Engineering Manager and will be responsible for delivering quantifiable results within the areas of New Product Introduction, production support & continuous process improvement.
As a key member of the team, you will:
* Design and document best practice manufacturing processes & systems for the implementation of new products.
* Provide input to Product Development to ensure optimum design for manufacture and testing.
* Prepare capital expenditure and justifications for new manufacturing plant, equipment & software.
* Commissioning of new capital equipment & tooling.
* Provide manufacturing process support to production throughout the entire product life cycle.
* Maintain bill of materials, work instructions, routings and Standard Operating Procedures.
* Initiate and implement continuous improvement activities to increase productivity, quality and safety.
What makes a successful Manufacturing & NPI Engineer within our team at Minelab?
In order to be successful in your application for this newly created position, you will be a degree qualified Electronic, Mechatronic, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineer and have demonstrated experience within a complex engineering assembly environment, ideally within an electronics manufacturing business. Additionally, you will possess in-depth background and understanding in Lean and Continuous Improvement activities coupled with high level communication skills to facilitate positive outcomes for all internal and external stakeholders.
