Job Title: Senior Employment LawyerApple is seeking a highly skilled Senior Employment Lawyer to join its Global Labour and Employment Law team in Sydney, Australia.About the RoleWe are looking for a talented lawyer with a strong background in employment law to provide world-class support to Apple People Team, the business, and other stakeholders in Australia and the Asia Pacific region.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide trusted legal advice to the People Business Partner and Employee/Labour Relations organizations on a broad range of labour issues, including enterprise agreement negotiations, industry awards, collective bargaining, and managing union relationships.Advise on employment matters such as hiring and recruiting, discipline, investigations, wages and hours, accommodations, terminations, workforce restructuring, and mergers and acquisitions.Work with internal partners to achieve legal compliance and meet regulatory requirements.Investigate and respond to demand letters and administrative or governmental inquiries and investigations.Collaborate with outside counsel on FWC applications, litigations, and discrimination claims.Formulate and revise standard terms and conditions of employment and People policies, advise on employee consultation and government filing requirements.Prepare and conduct employment and labour law training programs for the People team and management.Contribute to knowledge sharing, expertise, and skills to assist in improving decision-making in employment and labour law issues in the region.RequirementsWe are looking for an Australia-qualified lawyer with relevant legal experience in a law firm or in-house legal team. The ideal candidate will have:8-10 years of experience in providing advice to multi-national organizations, with a proven ability to match legal expertise to commercial business context.Excellent knowledge of federal and state labour and employment laws and regulations.Fluent in English, both verbal and written.Experience of enterprise agreement negotiations/collective bargaining.Preferred QualificationsWhile not essential, exposure to APAC regional matters would be useful, but an interest in working across the APAC region is a pre-requisite.
