The role
The Property and Facilities Business Partner will play a crucial role in supporting the National Property Manager by liaising with State Managers and other stakeholders, managing property leases, and preparing budgets. Additionally, this role will assist in delivering property projects and engage in a diverse range of tasks, including security management, overseeing new premises, and managing contractors and assets. Success in this role requires strong multi-tasking abilities and adherence to organisational policies and procedures, ensuring compliance within established frameworks.
In the role you will
* Manage property portfolio leases, including rent payments, sublease payments, renewals, outgoings and property expenses.
* Overseeing and ensuring that billing and all other financial transactions are being taken care of in a timely manner and informing personnel of any missing or late payments.
* Processing and administering leases to make sure all the information is accurate and logged onto the database and filed appropriately.
* Assist the National Property Manager in negotiating leases, budgeting and rent reviews of all the Groups leased sites.
* Negotiate, maintain and control all services and maintenance contracts held with external organisations relating to leasing sites/
* Assist in projects relating to branch refurbishment, re-design, relocation and development.
* Apply appropriate Project Management controls, governance, and methodology to deliver target business outcomes following the project management framework.
* Undertake site inspections, coordinate repair and maintencance works, maintain insurance documentation & update the asset register to facilititate asset maintenance.
Qualifications
You are a good match if you have:
* Drivers license (essential)
* Sound knowledge and experience in dealing with lease documentation
* Knowledge of IT hardware
* Project Management certification (desirable)
* Demonstrated experience in managing projects and project management tools and systems including the ability to plan, prioritise, make decisions, meet deadlines, and manage resources for a range of projects (size, complexity and risk).
* Bachelor's degree in business administration, property, economics, statistics, or accounting is desirable
* Efficiency to manage all tasks to ensure specific deadlines are achieved at all times.
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
