About Our Client
Our client is a leader in the mining industry, providing operational excellence and high-quality services. They are seeking a skilled Administrator to support the Coal Mining and Prestrip Departments, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
About The Role
This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced administrator with strong organisational skills. Working 7/7 on a Thursday to Wednesday roster, the successful candidate will work day shifts (5:00 am - 5:30 pm), supporting key operational processes. Camp accommodation is available for candidates from Mackay surrounds.
Key Responsibilities
* Reports to the Load & Haul Manager
* Payroll processing for labour hire employees
* Leave processing and management
* Purchase Orders and Invoicing
* Maintain confidential records and correspondence
* Coordinate and distribute internal and external communications
* Compile reports, presentations, and other documents
* Arrange meetings, workshops, and training sessions, including room bookings and catering
* Manage travel arrangements for domestic and international trips
* Assist with employee induction and onboarding
* Coordinate visitor and guest arrivals/departures
* Monitor and manage budgets and expenditure for the cost centre
* Record meeting minutes when required
* Support project research and analytical work as needed
Skills & Experience Required
* Strong administration skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment
* Fast thinker with strong problem-solving abilities
* High level of accuracy in data entry
* Previous experience in mining administration is highly desirable, but candidates with a strong administrative background will also be considered
