About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Portfolio Analyst to join the Technology Delivery function on a fixed term, full-time basis.
The Technology Delivery function manages the overall technology investment portfolio, ensuring alignment with the Group Strategy, and provides centralised project delivery guardrails, governance, and oversight with a focus on improving our delivery predictability and business value.
As the Senior Portfolio Analyst, you will:
* Play a critical role working across portfolios to provide relevant and timely information on project health, risks, issues, and dependencies, to reduce delivery risk.
* Ensure that there is a coherent view of initiatives in the pipeline and that initiatives are appropriately documented based on their stage project lifecycle.
* Lead Technology investment governance forums, co-ordinating the review of inbound work against the strategy and capital plan and reviewing business case quality and readiness.
* Work to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement across the technology project management community, guiding and supporting project managers with the right project standards, guardrails, and templates.
* Provide insight into portfolio performance, health and cycle times which will enable the business to make the right decisions that deliver customer value.
About you & your skills
* Proven experience in a senior project/portfolio analyst or equivalent role in the field of Information Technology.
* Experience and knowledge in PMO functions and Project & Portfolio Management tooling.
* Strong understanding of Waterfall and Agile project delivery methodologies.
* Experience working in and supporting teams that have adopted agile delivery techniques.
* Multi-task delivery coordination in dynamic and fast paced environments working with business, technology, governance and other departments.
* Experience and exposure preparing executive level materials.
* Well-developed and demonstrably effective communication and reasoning skills at all levels (both written and oral).
* Excellent numeracy skills and understanding of key financial indicators, including interpreting financial budgets, forecasts and actuals.
