Position: Technical Support Officer - Dental Health
DFP Perth are seeking an experienced Technical Support Officer to engage on a temporary contract with a State Government Dental Service agency based in Como and travelling to Clinics across the Perth Metro (Vehicle Provided).
Start Date: Immediate
Length of Contract: 3 Months
Location: Based in Como – Multiple Clinic Sites
Rate of Pay: $. - $. per hour plus Superannuation
About the Role: The state government is seeking a dedicated Technical Support Officer to join the Dental Health Services team. In this role, you will provide essential technical support and systems administration for our information systems and networks. You will also play a key role in the development and implementation of information systems projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Systems Management and Administration: Manage security, disaster recovery, and maintenance of networks and computer systems. Evaluate and purchase new IT infrastructure. Assist in network planning and perform system upgrades.
2. Technical Support: Configure and install IT equipment. Provide tier 2 and 3 technical support. Create and maintain technical documentation. Train support staff on system operations.
3. Information Systems Development: Analyze user requirements. Develop and test computer programs and databases. Document systems operation and create user policies. Conduct user training for new systems.
4. Values and Governance: Reflect NMHS values in all work. Maintain a safe work environment, participate in performance reviews, support safe patient care, complete mandatory training, and adhere to all relevant policies and legislation.
Essential Selection Criteria:
5. Experience in IT support services.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
7. In-depth understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and networks.
8. High-level analytical and problem-solving abilities.
9. Extensive knowledge of MS Windows-based PCs.
10. Understanding of systems administration in a multi-protocol environment.
11. Current "C" or "C.A." class driver's license.
Desirable Selection Criteria:
12. Progress towards or completion of a tertiary qualification in information systems.
13. Programming experience.
14. Experience with UNIX and MS Windows servers.
