About the Opportunity
An opportunity has become available for enthusiastic and energetic Chef de Partie, to join our talented team of chefs on a part-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
* Serve a consistent high-quality product;
* Manage the regular rotation of stock, ensuring there is minimal wastage;
* Oversee and perform operational duties of the section;
* Work in all areas of the kitchen operation;
* Train and induct staff and supervise the development of apprentices, cooks and chefs assigned to the sections.
What you'll need to be successful:
* Previous Demi Chef/Chef de Partie experience in a 4-5 star hotel/resort, or similar environment;
* A Commercial Cookery qualification, recognised in Australia;
* Demonstrated experience in cookery and well-developed knife skills;
* Thrive in a large, busy & fast-paced work environment;
* The ability to comfortably lift 20kgs and perform repetitive manual tasks safely;
* Full working rights in Australia.
