We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our Digital & Technology Services Division. Supported by a team of multiple resources the Network Engineer will manage, and monitor AV's wired, wireless and cloud network infrastructure, including IP Telephony platforms.
This is a full time, permanent position based at our Blackburn North Business Centre. While WFH/Hybrid working options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence in Blackburn North.
About the role
Reporting to the Network Engineer Team Leader, responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
1. Support and enhance IT network operations providing a stable and secure service to AV business requirements
2. Assist in the design and management of systems to proactively monitor networking capacity, availability, and feature enhancement
3. Continuously seek opportunities to improve operational excellence, optimise operational costs through simplified, documented, and repeatable processes and use, of new/emerging technologies
4. Build and maintain working relationships with Telecommunications (data) and internet service providers, Hardware & Software Service providers
About you
To be considered for this position you will possess:
5. A degree or relevant industry certification with significant relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and relevant experience in an Information Technology or related field
6. Substantial experience with cloud networking including Microsoft Azure Networking & Native Security Services
7. Experience in dispersed enterprise scale network infrastructure, LAN/WAN management, network monitoring & alerting, and capacity planning
8. Experience in maintaining and operating, Network Vendor Suites and products, including: Cisco Security Platforms, Routing, Switching & Wireless, and MerakiCisco ISE, Umbrella, CUCM, Jabber and WebExF5 Network BigIP GTM/LTM or Citrix NetScaler ADForescout, Firemon, Tenable Networks, & Solarwinds Suite
