About the role:
This full-time temporary opportunity is available from 28 April to 29 June 2025. The Payroll Officer will support the Shared Sector Team within Payroll Services and is accountable to the Operational Team Leader.
Key responsibilities:
* Assist in the processing of fortnightly payroll for shared sector employees
* Maintain accurate data entry of employee records and payroll transactions
* Provide high-quality customer service in responding to payroll-related enquiries
* Ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures
* Prioritise and manage high-volume workloads within deadlines
* Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment
About you:
* A current National Police Clearance (mandatory)
* Previous payroll experience (desirable)
* Experience using CHRIS21 software (desirable)
* Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
* Proven data entry experience with a high level of speed and accuracy
* Exceptional attention to detail
* Ability to manage competing priorities and large workloads effectively
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
