The Role The Senior Manager, Human Resources for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics has site responsibility for the strategic leadership of all aspects of HR management. The incumbent will serve as an advisor and counsel to the Site Lead, Clare and Senior Management Team, as well as coaching other members of the local management team to help them achieve business goals through effective human resource talent strategies and practices and human resource partnership needed for decision-making and effective management of both union and staff relations. This role focuses on developing strong associate engagement and retention that facilitates open communication with leadership, advancement of the associate value proposition and educates associates on how they contribute to enterprise-wide goals. Location This position is part of the HR team located just outside Tulla in Lismeehan, O'Callaghan's Mills, Co. Clare (20 mins from Ennis, 30 mins from Limerick city) and will be based onsite, with some flexibility to work from home. You will report to the Director of HR European Operations, as part of the EU Operations team, and you will be responsible for the leadership of all aspects of HR management within the Clare Site. Key Responsibilities Lead the Clare HR team that owns the coordination and implementation of HR processes, policies and programs regarding recruitment, retention, organization development, talent development, associate engagement, immersion/on-boarding, succession planning, retention, management training, compensation & benefits, general affairs and manage a variety of HR Projects; support HR initiatives designed to build a compliant, competitive and cost-effective HR function. Partner with business leaders to ensure effective and timely talent management processes (performance and development cycles, succession planning, talent movement and succession planning). Partner with business leaders on initiatives that engage associates and promote retention of key talent; champion the company's values and culture and continue the company's ability to attract, engage and retain high performance teams. Collaborate with Centers of Excellence in Employee Relations, Talent Management, Compensation, HRIS, Talent Acquisition, and DE&I leveraging their expertise to build and implement people strategies for the Operations organization. Participate in and drive HR projects in both a contributor and leadership capacity, leading work on key project deliverables. Lead through KPIs, using established tools and creative comparisons of data to turn data into actionable information and then sustainable actions. Manage other key functions within the Clare Site such as Reception, Cafeteria, and Occupational Health. Ensure compliance with local employment law. Comply with all corporate and local policies including the ethics & compliance program. Essential Requirements The essential requirements of the job include: BA/BS degree (Level 8) in HR or a related field and 14+ years of HR experience with a minimum of 5 years managing people (including working with global responsibilities) OR Masters Degree with 12+ years experience. Minimum five (5) years leading teams. Demonstrated experience running a HR organization utilizing continuous improvement best practices. High level of experience in dealing with labour relations and effectively managing union negotiations. Comprehensive understanding of human resources employment law, trends and the ability to benchmark & network. Highly effective communicator with the ability to influence and build trusted partnerships at all levels and a proven track record of delivering high performance through consulting & coaching, with experience working directly with senior leaders. Preferred Experience It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Ability to project manage multiple projects and initiatives through to successful delivery.
