Job Summary
This role involves the management of geotechnical hazards, ensuring compliance with the SDMP. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering geotechnical data through wall mapping and designing slope monitoring systems to guarantee safe and efficient mining operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Manage geotechnical hazards through compliance with the SDMP
* Gather geotechnical data by wall mapping
* Design slope monitoring systems
* Utilize Vulcan mining software, design package software, RocScience, Radars, and Trimble 4D
Requirements
* Hold a degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, or Geology
* Possess open pit geotechnical experience
* Be proficient in using Vulcan mining software, design package software, RocScience, Radars, and Trimble 4D
* Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work on a FIFO role on an 8:6 Roster
* Current right to work in Australia is required
