About this role
As a Manager or Senior Manager in our Brisbane Forensic Accounting team, you will have the opportunity to develop your career on your own terms while leading a high-performing, motivated team.
You will apply your experience and expertise across a broad range of forensic engagements, including contentious valuations,mercial loss and damage claims, insurance events, accounting reviews and investigations. Our Brisbane team primarily undertakes Dispute Advisory assignments.
Some of the exciting projects this team has recently worked on include:
4. Assessment of loss and damage suffered for a Group of claimants as part of class action proceedings
5. Valuation of a minority interest in a large Queensland-based manufacturer as part of Shareholder Oppression proceedings
6. Assessment of economic loss in large insurance litigation claims
7. Dispute arising under a purchase and sale agreement for the sale of a chain of retail stores
8. Review of transactions across several financial years to identify misreporting of transactions and alleged fraud
Key responsibilities
9. Advise on a broad range of forensic engagements including business valuations,mercial loss and damage claims, insurance events and accounting reviews and investigations
10. Build and maintain beneficial stakeholder relationships, including client liaison and the provision of trusted expert advice
11. Detailed review and analysis of the financial performance of businesses
12. Research and analysis of a variety of business, industry and economic data and information
13. Be responsible for the management and day-to-day running of engagements
14. Participate in business development and practice management activities, as well as provide coaching, mentoring and training opportunities to other team members
Skills and experience
15. CA / CPA / CFA qualification
16. Significant forensic accounting experience, ideally gained within a public practice environment
17. Experience with preparing valuation reports and / ormercial loss and damage reports for disputes
18. Strong analytical skills and mindset,plemented by lateral and critical thinking capability
19. Conscientious with a strong degree of accuracy and keen eye for detail
20. Excellent written and spokenmunication skills
