Under the guidance of industry legend, our Director of Culinary - Patrick Friesen. As Head Chef you will oversee the operation of the Botanist kitchen and participate in and contribute to the overall profitability of the Venue. This includes; Kitchen Operations - Overseeing the day to day operations of the kitchen including adherence to internal and external policies and procedures. People - recruitment, performance management, and succession planning for the kitchen. Financial - proactively managing and tweaking daily and weekly expenses, wages, and GP to ensure the budget is met. Compliance - Interpret and analyze kitchen reports, audits and documentation to mitigate risks and problems and ensure compliance obligations are being met. Creative Menu Development - We encourage our chefs to be creative and continue to experiment with new dishes weekly, rather than seasonally. Salary circa $100k depending on experience, plus monthly KPI bonuses. On top of a competitive base salary, you'll be eligible for bonuses rewards, and benefits 38-42 hours per week however if you do work extended hours, paid overtime and additional leave/time off.
