Salary: $151,615 p.a - Temporary Full Time (up to 31 December 2025) - RN/M5.2
Overview The Nursing and Midwifery Workforce and Operations Director will be involved in various health care assignments/projects related to recruitment and retention of the nursing and midwifery workforce. This will include:
Development, implementation, and evaluation of strategic directions and policies which support nursing/midwifery practice. Providing advice on contemporary issues relating to practice and workforce matters. Providing strategic leadership for innovation and change. Management/oversight of the nursing/midwifery education team and associated programs. Employees in this role accept accountability for:
The governance and practice standards of nurses/midwives. The effective implementation of corporate systems to support, evaluate, and consistently improve nursing/midwifery practice and healthy work environments. Cost-effective provision of health services within their span of appointment. Appointment Requirements: Satisfactory Criminal History Check Appropriate immunisation requirements: DHS Working With Children Check (WWCC) National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups required for this position. Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A (direct contact with blood or body substances). SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
