The Infrastructure and Property Division (IPD) supports the University of Wollongong (UOW) by building a strong and enduring campus identity, and is responsible for campus planning, environmental sustainability, transport, parking, maintenance, landscape and campus security.
The Campus Planning Unit is tasked with the crucial role of developing and implementing the University’s Campus Master and Infrastructure Plans. This involves crafting comprehensive long-term strategies to address key issues such as enhancing teaching and learning infrastructure, optimising transport and parking solutions, and upgrading mechanical and electrical services. By focusing on these areas, the unit ensures that the campus environment remains conducive to academic excellence and operational efficiency.
We are seeking a Project Manager with excellent consultation, influencing and relationship building skills to work across industry, university and professional stakeholders to manage the delivery of capital works projects from conception to completion.
The Project Manager will develop project briefs and budget estimates to manage the successful delivery of works/programs in line with financial budgets and time constraints. They will work closely with stakeholders to ensure operational needs and expectations are met and maintained through the project lifecycle through consistent, open communication, effective negotiation skills and the provision of good customer service and a flexible approach.
You will be required to provide reportable datasets for future briefing, detailed sustainability performance analysis and reports and continued asset management for all levels of the organisation to fulfill all internal and external reporting requirements including committees, annual and regulatory reporting.
What you will bring to the role:
3. Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Architecture or an Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural)
4. Knowledge and experience in the administration of construction projects and post construction phase activities, with experience in contract administration and the application of MW21/GC21 contracts.
5. Demonstrated extensive project planning experience, business case formulation, encompassing strategic, conceptual and analytical skills.
6. Demonstrated ability to set strategic direction and use sound judgement to make critical decisions.

8. Proven ability to manage the delivery of major capital programs and projects across a complex portfolio of buildings and or campuses
