Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Accountant to join their team on a 12-month fixed term contract. If you have strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of payroll processes, we'd like to hear from you Key Responsibilities: Posting of payroll journals. Maintain accurate payroll records, including deductions, leave balances, and superannuation contributions. Reconcile payroll accounts and assist with month-end and year-end reporting. Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders, including HR and tax authorities, to resolve payroll-related queries. Stay updated on changes to tax laws and payroll legislation, always ensuring compliance. Assist with audits and internal controls related to payroll processing. Assisting with payroll audit Skills and Experience: Proven experience in payroll or accounting, ideally with knowledge of payroll systems and software. Strong understanding of payroll taxation, superannuation, and related compliance requirements. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Effective communication skills and a collaborative team player.
