Queensland Corrective Services (Organisation site) Specialist Operations Directorate; Specialist Operations; Community Corrections & Specialist Operations; Brisbane The Principal Executive Officer is responsible for providing strategic and operational support to the Executive Director, Specialist Operations, including review of Ministerial and departmental briefings, coordination of Directorate responses and oversight of financial and human resources management.Key Responsibilities Assist the Assistant Commissioner, Specialist Operations through the provision of high quality, professional and timely advice and information on a broad range of organisational and government issues.Provide advisory services to Directors on a range of matters related to systems and processes.Maintain knowledge of issues across QCS, specifically as they relate to Specialist Operations.Coordinate and manage Specialist Operations responses on a range of service and policy matters including Ministerial responses.Research and prepare complex reports, submissions, briefing notes and correspondence on behalf of the Assistant Commissioner, Specialist Operations.Act as a stakeholder liaison for Specialist Operations.Develop and maintain positive, effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Develop, implement and manage Specialist Operations internal staff engagement.Manage correspondence in accordance with the department's document tracking and complaints management systems and ensure compliance with relevant timeframes.Develop and maintain data sources and registers to enable tracking and the provision of responses in a timely manner.Provide confidential and executive support to the Assistant Commissioner, Specialist Operations.Oversight Human Resources and Financial Management reports and provide advice to the Assistant Commissioner, Specialist Operations on emerging issues.Manage the workload and work practices of the Executive Support Officer and provide support and guidance as required to other administrative staff within Specialist Operations.Motivate, coach and develop staff to effectively manage all aspects of their administrative duties ensuring that opportunities for training and professional development are provided.Maintain knowledge of human resource policies and procedures and contemporary management practices relevant to managing staff.Promote a positive workforce culture aligned to QCS values and objectives.Applications to remain current for 12 months.Further Information We are committed to building inclusive cultures in the Queensland public sector that respect and promote human rights and diversity.Please ensure you download all attachments and follow the instructions on how to apply.#J-18808-Ljbffr
