Cooma Crash Repairs is looking for qualified and experienced Welders to join our talented team in Cooma NSW.
Position Overview:
To repair vehicles to the highest possible standard as: scheduled, described on the job sheet and by following all regulations to the industry and Health & Safety Regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Read the job sheet before commencing the job to ensure you fully understand the method of repair
* Perform job as described on the job sheet. Tick each item on the job sheet at completion to review all items were completed. No job given to the Paint Department unless all items repaired as described on the job sheet and to 100% standard
* Complete Quality checklist and sign off
* Procedures followed; work to the advised schedule managed by the Panel Workshop Supervisor
* Check all parts are correct before starting the repair. Immediately document incorrect parts or other discrepancies and notify the Workshop Supervisor
* Perform trial fit up to check for part correctness and fit. Immediately document incorrect parts or other discrepancies and notify the Workshop Supervisor
* Immediately document incorrect parts or other discrepancies and notify the Workshop Supervisor of all additional parts and work required.
* Place all parts to be painted in the vehicle or with the vehicle when repairs are completed
* All items and parts stripped from the vehicle are labelled with job number and stored in the allocated parts bay or in the vehicle. Note on job sheet where the items are stored
* At reassemble, check headlight adjustment and other final alignments and adjustments prior to the car being delivered
* Notify the Workshop Supervisor as you complete each job to check and sign off. Tidy work area, move vehicle to next department.
* Notify the Workshop Supervisor of any parts not required for the repair process immediately you have completed each job
* Notification to the Workshop Supervisor of work progress and difference in time taken to target time. Early detection of problems to minimise delays
* Efficient use of equipment by utilising equipment available to assist the throughput of the job
* Safe pick-up and delivery of customers vehicles
* Accurate recording of customers instructions and requirements and reporting back to Workshop Supervisor
* Attend, support and contribute willingly to staff and Health and Safety meetings
* Conduct yourself in a safe and professional manner. Absolutely imperative that safety equipment is used and procedures followed.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience in automotive industry an advantage but not essential
* Must be physically fit and capable of hot heavy manual work
* Must have high attention to details
* Ability to read, interpret, and fit up off of drawings
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 a year (commensurate to skills and experience)
