Senior Specialist (Information Security Solutions) The successful candidate will contribute to the conduct of Cyber Security Risk assessments on new threats and vulnerabilities through the provision of comprehensive subject matter analysis, advice, and support of complex ICT systems within a healthcare setting. Key Responsibilities Assist with the provision of high-level Information Security advice and consulting services on Information Communications Technology network and infrastructure matters and secure design review. Undertake risk assessment on a day-to-day basis and manage risk advisory operational ticket flows. Respond to customer enquiries while building customer-facing risk pattern libraries and FAQs to drive secure by design principles within the organisation. Assist in the development and implementation of the Queensland Health Information Security Strategic Plan, which meets the business and operational needs of Queensland Health and its clients. Assist with the development and maintenance of technical architectures for the Information Security portfolio in accordance with best practice and that comply with appropriate Queensland Health and whole of Government standards. Translate business needs for information systems into coherent and effective technical options to deliver detailed design specifications aligned with business requirements. Contribute to the development of strategic project plans and schedules, including the identification of project risks, issues, and appropriate mitigation strategies. Provide advice and strategic input into the development of an Information Security Framework to ensure Queensland Health meets all relevant compliance and governance obligations under Federal and State legislation, State regulations, Queensland Health policies, and Information Management standards, within the context of enabling the business to deliver high-quality healthcare services. Build and maintain effective working relationships by communicating, consulting, and negotiating with Information Management / Information Communication Technology professionals to promote sound Information Security practices throughout the organisation. Provide advice and support to the Manager, Information Security and principal specialists about information security matters. You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following: Demonstrated experience in working on Cyber Security risk assessments of complex ICT systems and infrastructure in large geographically dispersed service delivery organisations. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the major trends, strategic directions, and legislative and governance frameworks related to information security, with the capacity to successfully adopt them in the healthcare environment. Well-developed research, analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills including the proven capacity to initiate appropriate strategic and operational responses to key issues affecting the enterprise. Demonstrated interpersonal, presentation, and consultation skills, with the ability to negotiate, influence, and maintain effective relationships with senior and multi-disciplinary staff at the organisational, state, and national levels.
