About the OPPORTUNITY We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our Hunter Class Program based at Osborne Naval Shipyard.
Reporting to the Program Manager, this role will effectively engage stakeholders, manage interdependences, and lead on achieving the required outcomes for projects. This role will require the application of Project Management principles to achieve desired outcomes within the cost, schedule and quality constraints while managing risk and opportunity.
More specifically, you will be:
Planning and delivery of projects with clearly defined scope of worksLeading the project team to ensure timely activity, integration and efficient use of time and resources to meet requirementsTrack and report progress and forecast final targets for cost and scheduleFostering a positive collaborative culture between key project stakeholders and the project team including the customer, sub-contractors and suppliersEnsuring all project requirements and/or objectives are properly documented in a business case and/or project brief, as appropriate and vigorously pursuedEstablishing appropriate key success indicators and recommend trade-offs between scope, quality, time and costMaintenance of project management baselineAbout YOU Tertiary qualifications in Project Management (desirable)Demonstrated experience in a project or business management rolePrevious experience successfully managing a diverse project teamExperience managing subcontractors/consultants and other suppliersDemonstrated knowledge of project management principlesExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalSound knowledge of Microsoft office suite of programsCurrent Baseline Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtainWe believe in hiring for potential, we know that some candidates hesitate if they don't tick all the boxes.
