This individual will manage and oversee industrial capital expenditure (Capital works) projects focused on upgrades, repositioning, and asset modernisation, rather than greenfield developments. The role involves leading the planning, execution, and delivery of these projects across a range of industrial sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, and warehousing, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high standards. Key Responsibilities: Lead and oversee the delivery of industrial Capex projects, ensuring successful upgrades, repositioning, and asset improvement across various industrial assets. Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, resources, and risk management strategies. Work closely with internal stakeholders to align project objectives with broader business goals, ensuring a cohesive and strategic approach. Provide leadership to project teams and external contractors, fostering a collaborative work environment that prioritizes safety, efficiency, and quality. Manage procurement processes, ensuring proper contractor selection, compliance with regulations, and best practices in contracting. Oversee and control project costs, ensuring financial targets are met and projects are completed within the allocated budget. Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and environmental standards throughout the project lifecycle. Regularly report on project progress, challenges, and achievements to senior leadership and other key stakeholders. Implement and encourage the use of best practices in project management to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency. Lead risk management initiatives, identifying potential risks and mitigating them proactively to avoid project delays or cost overruns. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field. Ideally some form of Development exposure is beneficial but not necessary. Ideally 5 years of experience in managing industrial projects, specifically focused on upgrades, repositioning, or refurbishments. Proven track record in leading Capital works/upgrades projects from planning through to successful delivery, with a focus on client-side management. Strong knowledge of industrial sectors such as manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics. Deep understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices. Comprehensive experience in managing budgets, timelines, and contractor relationships. Knowledge of applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations and their practical application within the industrial sector. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage both internal teams and external stakeholders effectively.
