We are seeking a dedicated and proactive HSEQ Coordinator to join our team in Wacol, Queensland.
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a safe, compliant, and quality-focused workplace, responsible for implementing, maintaining, and enhancing site Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality systems and procedures. Additionally, you will ensure the consistent quality of concrete roof tiles through testing, inspection, and monitoring of the production process, while maintaining safety and environmental management systems in line with the Brickworks Safety Management System.
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Perform routine inspections of raw materials, in-process production, and finished roof tiles to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Conduct laboratory tests on tiles, such as strength, absorption, and dimensional accuracy, according to industry and company specifications.
• Create, manage and maintain electronic quality inspections.
• Liaise with raw material suppliers regarding quality, specification requirements, and deviations.
• Monitor the production process, addressing quality issues, and ensuring corrective actions are taken through collaboration with the production team.
• Assist the Brickworks research and development team with onsite production trials.
• Maintain and update the Brickworks safety management and environmental systems according to regulatory and company requirements.
• Drive the WHS management system on-site, ensuring KPI’s are met, and compliance with Brickworks standards.
• Asist with safety audits, toolbox meetings, and ensure proper training and PPE management.
• Manage safety and environmental reporting, including weekly waste audits.
• Support continuous improvement of production efficiency and safety.
Success Requirements:
• Tertiary qualifications in WHS (e.g. Cert IV), and/or Certificate or Diploma in Quality Assurance/Control (e.g., Cert IV in Quality Auditing or related field)
• Experience in manufacturing or quality assurance, with a focus on safety and environmental management.
• Familiarity with QA/QC methods and safety management systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and reporting.
