We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team at a quirky community food-store established 30 years ago. Our store offers old fashioned customer service, and we strive for excellence in this area. We use modern technology, such as online ordering and an app, to make shopping easier for our customers.
About the Role
This role involves working with and taking direction from our Shift Team Leaders in either the front of house (FOH) or back of house (BOH). We focus on providing training and coaching to help you build skills, knowledge, and experience.
Key Responsibilities
The main areas of responsibility include:
* Fruit and Veg and Grocery preparation ready for retail sales, signage, and Following and ticking off - SOD (Start of Day) and EOD (End of Day) checklists
* Working the floor with customer care, being super helpful and attentive, Point of Sale, cash register and cash handling, including loyalty rewards and gift cards processing
* Retail customer order and supply stock processing, retail restocking, presentation and basic merchandising as directed
* Cafe work including Customer Service, Order taking, delivering meals, drinks (non-alcohol), clearing and resetting tables, setup, pack up, and reset ready for the next day
Work Arrangements
The AFTER-SCHOOL role generally involves working one shift WEEKDAYS usually 4pm to 6.00pm/6.30pm + one shift on WEEKENDS. WEEKEND shifts are usually 3 to 6 hours long. Minimum of two shifts per week. Must work weekends and be available to work some extra shifts on school holidays.
Pay and Benefits
The pay rate is INTRO OR LEVEL ONE RESTAURANT AWARD. CASUAL by age. Being a junior position, tasks are lighter physical duties.
