Business AnalystInformation TechnologyJob Description:On behalf of our healthcare client, Affinity is seeking a Business Analyst to complete a detailed current state assessment, gap analysis, business requirements, and a proposed implementation roadmap for automation of current manual work related to maintaining the Cancer Registry.Responsibilities: Work with Registry and IMS to complete a sustainability assessment.Provide business analysis to understand and document data and information requirements and document current and develop future state workflows.Participate and facilitate discovery and planning workshops and requirements gathering sessions with business team members and technical team members, to identify requirements and determine gaps.Complete an environmental scan and/or leverage the environmental scan completed by the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer (CPAC).Develop a road map for implementation- outlining technical, human, and financial resources required and preferred software(s).Assist in the identification of reporting requirements.Monitor and report progress to the Provincial Manager of Population Health and Analytics and the Provincial Manager of Cancer Registry.Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Understanding of business analysis methods, process documentation, and enterprise/business requirements development.Understanding of technical designs and specifications of and principles of systems and software applications.Knowledge of current security applications and procedures, and remote access services.Knowledge of associated policies, and guidelines to ensure changes comply with requirements.Knowledge of industry best practices and maintains currency with technology trends and internal program and system changes.Communication skills are required to develop and present complex information including written documentation and verbal presentations to audiences with varying levels of comprehension ability.Ability to comprehend complex business issues.Initiative and independent judgment are required to solve complex problems.Human relations skills required to ensure compliance and promote acceptance through negotiating with staff and suppliers where there is a requirement to resolve the conflict or situation.Human relations skills are required when meeting with vendors and staff regarding compliance and acceptance issues, such as promoting standards to enhance interoperability between stakeholders or meet certification requirements.Ability to manage multiple tasks in various stages of completion according to priorities. Education: Bachelor's degree or diploma in computer science, business administration, engineering or health care. Accreditation: Professional designations such as CBAP will be considered an asset. Experience: 7-10 years of experience working as an IT Business Analyst.Experience working in a highly integrated environment.Healthcare informatics experience preferred.Training and experience with Microsoft Dynamics is considered an asset.
