Key responsibilities include: Wound carePatient education on chronic disease managementAdvocating for vulnerable individuals accessing health services The role demands confidence in clinical judgment and the ability to work independently. A friendly, empathetic approach and effective communication skills are essential for liaising with other service providers. The Community Health Nurse at Boggabri will receive a two-week orientation, with ongoing professional development supported and encouraged. This role entails working 5 days per fortnight, between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM, with flexibility available. There is no requirement for weekend or shift work. Where You’ll Be Working Boggabri is a small rural town in northwest NSW, located 463 km north-west of Sydney via Scone and 39 km north-west of Gunnedah. The Community Health Service in Boggabri includes one FTE position shared between a Registered Nurse and an Enrolled Nurse and is part of the Boggabri Multi-Purpose Service (MPS). This facility offers a range of services under one roof, including a Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF), Acute Care Ward, Emergency Department, doctor’s surgery, and Ambulance Service of NSW. The surrounding region is known for its wheat, wool, and cotton production, with the town characterised by its prominent grain-holding facilities. Key attractions include a historic walk through the town’s centre, the impressive rocky outcrop known as Gin's Leap, and a small, intriguing local museum.
