Part Time – Bus Driver & Maintenance Officer St Charbel’s Care Centre is a new and progressive organisation, dedicated to servicing the ageing population. Established in 2019, SCCC is passionate about delivering exceptional service to its consumers and providing care that is above and beyond. SCCC is an integral part of the Maronite Community within Western Sydney and SCCC aims to allow consumers to retain their active role within their community.We are currently seeking a Bus Driver & Maintenance Officer to join our team. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role is responsible for identifying and carrying out preventative maintenance, repair and improvement works to the facility and its surrounds to ensure that the physical environment for consumers is neat, comfortable, safe and hazard free and taking our residents on bus tours once or twice a week. This role is on Permanent part -time basis – 3 days a week, located in the Heart of Punchbowl.Some of the Benefits:

About the role:
Ensure the facility maintains a consistently high standard, encompassing the safety and neatness of the environment and its occupants.
Address minor facility repairs and undertake basic plumbing and gardening duties.
Aid the team in waste management activities.
Adhere to the Maintenance schedule while completing daily tasks.
Monitor the maintenance register daily and promptly address any reported hazards.
Document all performed tasks with completion dates in accordance with facility requirements.
Collaborate with contractors and suppliers when necessary.
Manage the Preventative Maintenance Register, actively addressing gaps and communicating progress to the Leadership team.
Assisting in the planning and coordination of bus transportation for various outings and recreational activities
Ensuring that the bus is maintained in good working order and is kept clean and tidy including maintaining vehicle logbooks.
Receive deliveries from external providers and assist in proper inventory stocking.
Prioritise the health and safety of consumers, colleagues, and oneself within the workplace.
Comply with current Work Health and Safety regulations and protocols.
Report workplace risks and hazards following proper procedures.
Participate in required WHS training sessions.
Uphold and promote infection control and proper handwashing practices.
Foster effective communication within the St Charbel’s Care Centre team.
Demonstrate respect for the rights, dignity, and privacy of all consumers.
Safeguard the confidentiality of consumer and facility information in line with policies and contractual obligations.
Cultivate positive relations with fellow staff members and the broader community.

About you:
Minimum 3 years’ experience as Maintenance Officer
Competent in the safe use of tools and equipment related to maintenance.
A clear National Criminal Record Check
Current LR Driver's License will be an added advantage
An ability to uphold St Charbel’s Care Centre’s Vision, Mission, Values and Philosophy
Current First Aid Certificate
Experience in a customer service environment
Demonstrated experience working in a highly regulated environment.
Well-developed interpersonal skills
Commitment to Workplace Health and Safety
Ability to work autonomously.
Desirable:
Spoken Arabic is highly regarded to assist with residents, families, and visitors' liaison.
Prior experience working in an aged care setting and reporting on aged care standards and accreditation.
