About the Role The Director People and Organisational Development is a key member of the STC Executive Leadership Team and is responsible for the development and strategic leadership of human resources, occupational health and safety, organisational development and change, and internal communications for STC. As a relatively new organisation, the People and Organisational Development function will champion the identification, conceptualisation, refinement and prioritisation of strategies, systems, policies and processes, and the structure necessary to facilitate the smooth evolution of STC. A vital component will be the implementation of 'organisation appropriate' solutions that satisfy the dynamic requirements of a growing organisation, and the ability to ensure that resources are available to support business objectives. The role will also ensure the CEO, Executive Leadership Team and STC Board receive timely and authoritative advice with respect to people and organisational development matters.About You You will need to have extensive experience in people services strategy development and operationalisation, particularly in the context of a newly established entity and/or fast-growing organisation.You will need experience leading a people function(s) and being part of an executive leadership team. You will bring proven experience in leading cultural and organisational change, internal communications, and building employee capability and performance within a multi-disciplinary environment.You will bring a hands-on approach, ready to lead or undertake operational responsibilities where needed.You will have experience working with Boards and/or Board Sub Committees.Bringing a knowledge of the Victorian Public Sector human resources, governance, and other relevant corporate practices and reporting requirements will be an advantage.Who Are We? The North East Link (Project) is Victoria's largest road transport project and will deliver the missing link in Melbourne's freeway network, slash travel times, and link key growth areas in the north and south-east. North East Link is changing the way people move around Melbourne. Victoria's longest road tunnels will fix the missing link in our city's freeway network, take 15,000 trucks off local roads a day, and slash travel times by up to 35 minutes. We'll also complete the Ring Road in Greensborough, overhaul the Eastern Freeway, build Melbourne's first dedicated busway and the North East Trail – more than 34km of walking and cycling paths.The North East Link State Tolling Corporation (STC) was established on 1 March 2021 as a statutory corporation. STC will act as the asset-owner of North East Link and be responsible for managing and controlling the use of, access to, operating and maintaining, and setting and collecting the tolls on North East Link when the road opens.
