Senior Manager, Dataernance Partner, Investments Job Description

Your New Role
The role will report to the Head of Dataernance and Capability and work closely with the Dataernance and Capability leadership team, Head of Investments data, domain enablement team, business & technology teams and will work proactively to roll out the Fund's dataernance framework within the Investments data domain. They will also champion strategic investments data-related initiatives, encourage data literacy, and take the lead in dataernance within large-scale data implementation projects.
Key duties include but are not limited to:
1. Within the investment domain, lead the establishment and maintenance of operational processes and control environments, domain specific data policies and people change for the responsible data domain.
2. Work as a vocal champion, partner and educator in forming strong data foundations that will accelerate the fund in delivering critical strategies.
3. Acting as a partner to the domain, use yourprehensive line of business operational knowledge to createprehensive and mature data control environments that align with and deliver business strategies.
4. Be able to confidently facilitate meetings with a clear agenda, supporting material, objectives and oues.
5. Define and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) related to data management maturity and effectiveness within the domain and utilise these to influence positive business oues.
6. Lead data SMEs in defining and standardizing data control environments for new systems and databases.
7. Lead oversight and direction of Identification and assessment of data quality controls along domain data flows.
8. Own oversight of data issues to ensure appropriate action planning and timely resolution.
9. Independently manage multiple projects in a proactive and structured fashion with the ability to define scope, plan,ernance, controls, processes, and artefacts. This requires an understanding of the macro oues and the activities required to enable oues.
10. Partner with Data Enablement and divisional change management functions to create a strong data culture and new ways of working.
11. Continually evaluate the effectiveness of dataernance policies and practices with the domain and plan and execute improvements.
12. Develop reporting for the domain that provides appropriate focus on areas on improvement based on maturity uplift targets and visibility of data risk.
What You'll Need
13. At least 10+ years of management experience in dataernance and data management in financial institution, with substantial experience in directly partnering with senior business stakeholders and operational teams leading change in integrating dataernance processes, controls and risk management frameworks to the Investment related domain.
14. Experience in leading teams to develop efficient operating models that utilise systems, processes and people capability in greenfield environments in investment operations or related area.
15. Significant operational understanding of investment data and processes including deep knowledge of investment related data products, advanced investment analytics, regulatory reporting and market vendors such as Bloomberg and Refinitiv, portfolio management, and the broader investment process.
16. Proven experience in key data management disciplines such as data quality, master data, metadata management & lineage, data architecture/modelling and privacy & security.
17. Experience in formulating Data Quality plans and delivering Data Quality initiatives using modern tools and techniques.
18. Proven track record inerning data during data transfers between systems, from market data vendors to centralized data platforms, and towards downstream business-specific systems.
19. Experience with Investment data management tools like FactSet, BlackRock Aladdin, GoldenSource, SimCorp Dimension, IHS Markit, Matrix IDM.
20. Excellentmunication skills, capable of articulatingplex dataernance concepts to a diverse range of stakeholders.
