About the role
As the successful applicant, the Dental Hygienist or Oral Health Therapist will be vital in promoting oral health within our community, and will assist our wide range of patients (incl. under-18s).
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
o being a critical member of our patients' active maintenance program
o conducting thorough dental cleanings and oral examinations
o educating patients on proper oral hygiene techniques.
o administering fluoride treatments and applying dental sealants
o assessing patients' oral health and providing personalized recommendations
o collaborating closely with our dental team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
o providing community education sessions such as in schools, community groups and aged care facilities
For Oral Health Therapists wishing to apply, we also have a healthy patient base of under 18's for whom examinations, cleans and treatment would be a part of daily practice.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
o Full Australian working rights
o Bachelor's degree in Oral Health or Diploma/degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited institution essential
o Current registration with AHPRA as an OHT or Dental Hygienist essential
o Strong interpersonal and communication skills
o Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
o Passion for providing exceptional patient care
o Genuine interest in living and working in a rural area
Remuneration
We offer a flexible pay structure for this position, with options for hourly or commission-based compensation. Hourly rates begin at $65 per hour, and will be determined based on your level of experience and expertise. For those opting for a commission-based pay, the structure will be discussed during the interview process to align with your professional background and performance goals.
