Role Overview The Group Senior Resource Manager is responsible for Think Wide resourcing and is the conduit between business units across the agency to ensure the successful and consistent delivery of Bastion’s services. This is a pivotal role that requires the ability and agility to operate at a high level to manage the challenge of working within a fast-paced and constantly changing environment. In this role you will work with business practice leads and project managers to: manage and traffic resources; and ensure teams have the right tools and information to deliver projects efficiently and effectively. This is a senior role and as such you are expected to lead by example, initiate and support improvements to agency processes, and behave in a positive and proactive manner. Responsibilities Day to day will see you lead resourcing and forward planning across the Bastion Group – working closely with business practice leads, project managers, and Group Head of Operations (GHO) to: Promote the Think Wide approach on clients and projects Be aware of all current and upcoming key projects across the agency Triage briefs and qualify new key opportunities from a resourcing view Ensure the right resource plan is applied, including the use of resources across the agency as well as freelancers – ie. the right people, in the right roles, doing the right work, at the right time Ensure required project meetings (kick off, review) are set by project managers, take place, and the right staff attend Plan and chair daily stand ups and/or weekly WIP meetings to ensure effective forward planning Manage resource pipeline (capacity planning) including review of weekly, monthly, and quarterly resource schedules with the Resourcing team and GHO to ensure sufficient and suitable resources are available for the agency workload Identify bottlenecks and resourcing conflicts and either resolve or escalate as quickly as possible Manage freelancers and contractors – confirm requirement, negotiate fees and bookings, organise agreements, process invoices, and maintain and evolve a strong and talented freelance database Initiate and support improvements to agency process in collaboration with GHO and embed positive change Facilitate effective communication between business units (BU’s) across the agency Work with BU’s to ensure projects are run as efficiently, effectively, and profitably as possible Comply with client contractual obligations in regard to confidentiality and sharing information, especially when working between BU’s Gain the confidence and respect of colleagues. What You Bring A minimum of 8 years’ experience in a similar role (creative services, traffic, production, project management) within an integrated agency environment Excellent problem solving, organisational, and interpersonal skills A strong understanding of integrated agency processes and an interest in making these as efficient and effective as possible Proven experience tracking and managing head hours effectively to ensure efficiencies, profitability, and delivery of high-quality work An energetic, proactive, and agile approach with a passion for building positive and constructive relationships Ability to juggle multiple projects and personalities, as well as competing priorities, whilst remaining calm under pressure A collaborative and solutions-oriented attitude Experience with project and resource management tools and systems Maturity, confidence, and agility to interact with staff, clients, and contractors at all levels.
