The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of quality requirements and monitoring of technical sterilisation functions in the Dental Sterilisation area. You will have the knowledge and skills to apply the regulatory and practice standards in a range of technical procedures, quality assurance activities etc. Under the supervision of the Snr Instrument Technician, you will co-manage all core elements in the sterilisation area in the absence of the Snr Instrument Technician.Key Selection Criteria:A Certificate III in Sterilisation Services or equivalentMinimum of twelve (12) months post qualification experience (full-time equivalent) as an instrument technicianDemonstrated experience working in a Sterilising area or CSSDAbility to work in the Dental Sterilisation area autonomously under the general direction of the Snr Instrument Technician.Working knowledge of AS5369Ensure quality of service and standards of care outlined under the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQSH) Standards and all statutory requirements are adhered to.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentWell-developed oral and written communication skillsGood computer and keyboarding skillsA good understanding of patient confidentialityDemonstrated experience in providing instructions and guidance in infection control procedures and prevention of cross infection to all clinical operators.Position Description: (ES to add Link)If qualifications are a requirement for this position, please attach a copy in support of your application.
