Current Vacancies 003947 - District Officer, Statewide Operations, South 004358 - District Officer, Statewide Operations (Air Operations) South Hours per fortnight 80 Hours, non-rostered shift work Duties Leadership and Resource Management : Proactively lead assigned personnel and manage physical resources to ensure adequate emergency preparation, mitigation, response, and community preparedness. Includes overseeing operations during fire and other emergencies, fostering personnel development through effective supervision, feedback, and training. Strategic Contribution : As a Tasmania Fire Service (TFS) District Officer, contribute to achieving Regional and State objectives by managing a District or Functional area. The role also encompasses managing major or multiple incidents, overseeing personnel, and fulfilling corporate responsibilities in alignment with the TFES Strategic Direction and Corporate Plan. Essential Requirements Attained the rank of Senior Station Officer in accordance with the Tasmanian Fire Fighting Industry Employees Award qualifications (or equivalent). Desirable Requirements Post-secondary/tertiary qualifications in organisational management and firefighting command. Evidence of ongoing professional development. A broad range of fire service experience particularly in the areas of district management, training, fire safety, and community education. Current driver 's licence.
