The Role As an Operations Manager you will be expected to plan and direct operations to achieve the Centre's sales budget, on time delivery and profit targets. You will work alongside Management and Staff within the Centre as well as liaise with Customers, Suppliers and PFS National Office. You will be required to assist with counter service which will require hose manufacture and problem solving. You will ensure that all company WHS and Environment Policies and Procedures are followed. You will report to the Centre Manager. General Tasks Carry out the daily operation of the Hose Service Centre Serve customers including hose manufacture, problem solving and point of sale Provide technical advice and guidance to staff and customers Act to improve the safety performance of all staff You To be considered for this position you must have: Hydraulic industry knowledge and experience You will also ideally have: Occupational Regulatory Licenses Ability to build a high performing team who can operate efficiently, effectively, productively and cost effective Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a demanding and customer focused work environment Excellent personal organisation and business administration skills Ability to work productively, efficiently and effectively with initiative and drive under tight deadlines and pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality Anticipate problems and find solutions Ability to delegate Knowledge of management systems including QA and WHS Ability to operate machinery Familiarity with the types of equipment used in industry Computer literate with good literacy and numeracy skills Well presented and groomed Working understanding of procurement and stock management systems Ability to meet, greet and talk with customers and potential clients Currently living in/near or willing to relocate to the Gold Coast If you relish working in a small team environment, however also enjoy working autonomously and want a long term challenging role, this opportunity should not be missed!
