They are seeking a Part-Time Management/Financial Accountant OR Company Accountant with outstanding analytical skills to play a critical role in driving business success. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine hands-on management and financial accounting responsibilities to assist with strategic decision-making. The Role: Reporting directly to the Directors, you will take ownership of key management & financial processes, providing insightful analysis and actionable recommendations that directly impact the company’s performance and growth. Key Responsibilities: Lead the preparation and maintenance of cashflow forecasting Prepare and analyse budgets and forecasts, including variance analysis and insights Conduct job costing, pricing, margin, and manufacturing costing analysis Extract and analyse critical data to support strategic decision-making Provide financial insights to evaluate and improve performance Manage foreign currency risk (hedging FX) Monitor expenditures and manage non-stock supplier contracts Maintain and oversee fixed assets Perform balance sheet reconciliations Develop strategies to mitigate business risks and liabilities Oversee AP/AR functions Continuously improve accounting systems and processes Over time assist with the transition of Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly Financial Reporting from external accountant to in-house, including G/L, Balance Sheet, P&L, BAS, and FBT The Candidate: Degree or TAFE qualifications essential Experience in planning and budgeting and variance analysis Strong analytical ability and problem-solving aptitude Hands on approach within this team environment Experience and highly confident setting up processes and procedures for all accounting functions A strong grasp of accounting principles, compliance, and financial reporting Proficiency with accounting software like Sage, MYOB, Xero, or similar Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks A proactive, team-oriented approach paired with strong communication skills The Benefits: Temporary contract role for 6 months enabling you to set up and develop solid processes for the business primarily for management and analytical purposes $65.00 per hour plus super Work for a professional, growing and forward-thinking family-owned business Convenient Huntingwood location with on-site parking A stable, team-based working environment Work life balance on offer Opportunity to be in a hands-on role while also adding strategic value If you’re ready to make an impact in a dynamic and supportive organisation, we’d love to hear from you.
