About the role
Newcastle Private Hospital is currently seeking professional a customer focused Supply Officer’s to join their busy team of professionals on a casual basis
Reporting directly to the Supply Manager this position is responsible for assisting with the supply management of hospital, focusing in operating theatres with involvement in wards and other areas within the hospital.
The position also includes handling supply & imprest queries as well as general duties in our logistics area. The position is hands on and requires a high level of physical work.

We are a 189 bed, acute, private hospital facility co-located on the John Hunter Campus at Rankin Park. The hospital has 11 theatres including a hybrid theatre and a 15 bed Intensive Care Unit.
We also have a cardiac suite including a cardiac catheter laboratory and a 16 bed Coronary Care Unit. A private maternity suite including 6 birthing suites and a special care baby nursery is available for families in the Newcastle region. Newcastle Private Oncology Centre provides specialty care for individuals and their families/carers undergoing all aspects of cancer treatment and care with both an inpatient unit and day infusion lounge.
Key Responsibilities:
4. Provide exceptional customer/patient service by replenishing hospital imprest areas
5. Act as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team by promoting positive team culture, communicating and offering help to team members and liaising with other staff as required to create an experience that makes a difference.
6. Demonstrate professional practice by working according to Healthscope’s policies and processes, code of conduct.
7. Maintain standards of customer service and ensure patient confidentiality and privacy are maintained at all times.
8. Supports Healthscope’s safety and quality improvement and achievement of accreditation by actively participating in department meetings, audits and quality activities.
9. Ensure compliance with and participation in the National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards.
Essential Criteria:
10. Experience with a computerised purchasing system (i.e. Technology One)
11. Proven experience in a similar role
12. Ability to work within constraints of a set financial budget
13. Good literacy and numeracy skills
14. Proven time management and problem solving ability
15. Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
16. Medical product knowledge (desired)
