Sheep & Cattle Stockhands Northwest NSW A family owned and run farming enterprise is seeking two experienced stockhands / shepherds to assist their Stock Manager on their station running both sheep and cattle near Walgett, NSW. Working closely with the Stock Manager, your duties will include: Paddock work and mustering both sheep and cattle Responsible riding of motorbikes for mustering and travel around the farm (preferbaly have your own motorbike) Yard work of both sheep and cattle Operation of farm machinery and associated maintenance Machinery operating for feeding 12000 lambs in a feedlot Monitoring of feed budgets and rationing as well as implementing methods to reduce feed wastage Regular monitoring of live-weight gain and fat-scoring Heat stress management Contributing to the farm budget plans and forward financial planning General maintenance to farm infrastructure and fencing Ensuring best animal health and welfare at all times These roles are physically demanding, you will be required to be physically fit and in good health. You need strong communication skills with a team-oriented approach as well as the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
