Fenner Conveyors, a Michelin Group Company, is a world leader in providing engineered conveyor solutions for the mining and industrial sectors. Operating 3 manufacturing sites, 16 Service Branches as well as Engineering Design & Fabrication facilities employing over 1250 employees.
The Role
The Curragh site is one of Fenner Conveyors major customers for our Emerald Branch, as the Site Coordinator you will be provided with Camp accommodation whilst onsite and a tool of trade vehicle. The role will be accountable for the following activities:-
Service Operations
* Coordination and supervision all site activities to ensure they align with the organisation's goals and operational standards.
* Monitor daily workorders and troubleshoot operational challenges, implementing continuous improvements, as necessary.
* Oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
* Conduct belt/conveyor system audits, make recommendations to clients on how to improve production, maximise belt life etc.
* Manage the allocation of resources, including staff, equipment, and materials as well as ensuring the readiness for upcoming shutdowns and breakdowns.
* Provide technical advice in relation to scheduled and emergency (call out) work; plans for the actions required for completion of work.
* Assist in the development of work procedures relating to specific sites in order to expand the knowledge of customer sites and requirements.
* Establish and enforce quality control measures and conduct regular inspections and audits to evaluate compliance.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including client and vendors
Leadership
* Support field service team members in all aspects of their roles whilst also managing the effectiveness, performance and outcomes of team members
* Deliver or coordinate the required training to enhance an individual’s or team’s performance in relation to new systems, processes of practices
* To contribute to the company’s overall safety objective by setting a positive example and actively promoting safe work behaviours and practices.
Reporting and Compliance
* Ensure (KPIs) for site operations are met and monitor progress towards achieving them
* Participate in relevant field operational meetings, and be responsible for ensuring any assigned actions are followed up, resolved or completed when required.
* Prepare and present reports on site performance and operational issues. (monthly presentation)
Continuous Improvement
* Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and execute improvements for site operations and cost saving opportunities.
About You
We are seeking eager, committed individual who holds prior experience with conveyor systems and possesses the following skills and experience:
* Proven experience in an either a Site Coordinator of Field Service Role
* Proven experience operating as a senior Belt Splicer with a minimum 5+ years splicing experience.
* Standard 11 Induction
* QLD Coal Board Medical or ability to successfully obtain (Company funded)
* Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to solve issues in a timely manner
* Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders internally and externally.
* Proficient computer skills including various MS Office programs
* Experience and knowledge in conveyor belt systems
* Current valid C Class Driver’s license
* Desirable Tickets: MR, Forklift Licence
