Offer Description Classification : ANU Officer 5 / 6 (Engineering)
Salary package : $81,381 - $95,541 per annum plus 17% superannuation
Term : Full-time, Continuing (contingent funded), funded until 30 June 2026
The Position The successful candidate will become a member of the Department of Materials Physics within the Research School of Physics. The Department hosts the heavily industry engaged and commercially active X-ray Tomography Group. The Mechanical Engineer will provide design, development, validation, and maintenance support for technical projects and activities in the X-ray Tomography Group.
The Person We are looking for a strong team player with qualifications and/or experience in Engineering, particularly in mechanical design and in complex instrument or mechatronic systems design. Experience in testing complex systems, excellent interpersonal skills, and the capacity to quickly develop productive, professional relationships with colleagues and stakeholders are key.
