The Local Area Marketing and Event Manager is responsible for leading and providing support to relevant stakeholders with the development and delivery of local area marketing activities, events, sponsorship and initiatives for the Marketing and Corporate Affairs business unit.
Description This role reports to the Head of Strategic Marketing and will work closely with Corporate Affairs and Marketing team and Employer Experience teams to meet business needs and requirements.
The key responsibilities are:
Develop and leverage an in-depth understanding of Team Super's brand, our member value proposition, customer segments (and their needs) and emerging members – demonstrating this in all aspects of workDevelop and leverage an in-depth understanding of business compliance and approval processes and standards and demonstrate this in all aspects of workAbility to adapt quickly and deliver on event, sponsorship and local area marketing activities, work may include but is not limited to:Event management: requirements across Engagement team, Marketing team and associated partners (run sheets, catering, sponsors, speakers, venues etc.)
to ensure a professional representation of the GroupSponsorship: consider new/repeat opportunities against sponsorship policy, recommend for approval/decline and manage relationships with stakeholders and partners to ensure a professional representation of the groupOversee business case development and approvals to initiate new sponsorship opportunities as well as post-implementation reviewsBrand management: ensure committed events are representative of Team Super's brand and maximised including local media, on-site presence, promotional items and printed assets.
Additionally, identify areas where we could leverage additional brand exposureCollateral: prepare collateral by leveraging Team Super's style guidelines and tone of voice to support Engagement activitiesPromotional items: consider appropriate items for Engagement team to support with member and stakeholder events to promote brand and increase advocacyPost-implementation reviews: prepare reports which assess sponsorships, events and related activities for return on investment to support business decision making and future planningCampaign management: collaborate with relevant stakeholders to assist with the communication of campaigns across various channels e.g.
web, social, eDM, DM, outbound calls, worksites and sponsorships and execute where appropriateContent development for local area marketing events, specifically: research, define key messages, write, edit and manage content through the sign off processSupport the Engagement and Advice business unit on the input and progress of new and existing vendor requirements through the Group's Vendor Management systemSupport the Your Community and Team committee with upcoming initiatives in conjunction with engagement eventsUpdate, compile, and maintain appropriate records for budgets, attendance data, sourcing, invoicing, etc.Actively promote brand awareness, member focus and customer value proposition internally and externallyCommunicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on key deliverablesTake action to improve existing practices and processes, by identifying improvement opportunities, generating ideas and implementing solutionsBuild and maintain relationships with the wider business, sharing best practice and identifying ways to improve customer experienceEnsure our integrity is maintained and risk exposure minimised by adhering to policies and procedures, including appropriate review of materialsKeep abreast of best practices, new technologies, industry knowledge and trends; make recommendations and oversee incorporation as appropriateUnderstand the wider business strategic plan and direction and be able to articulate how engagement marketing contributes to the delivery of strategic initiativesAny other duties as requested. Skills And Experiences Previous experience in financial services would be highly desirableProven project and campaign management abilities combined with an understanding of digital customer enablement initiativesAbility to build strong relationships and influence across teams to deliver and support initiativesSelf-starter with a strong goal and results orientationDesire to take ownership of initiatives and customer experience results, seeking support, advice and guidance as neededAbility to adapt writing across different channels and objectives e.g.
online vs offline, and campaign vs educationA familiarity with design principles and programs including but not limited to Canva/Adobe Creative Suite would be beneficialDemonstrated experience with brand management, basic design principles and softwareDesire to be part of a collaborative team and gain exposure to strategy and initiatives across business linesAbility to demonstrate measurable results from effortsTertiary qualifications in relevant discipline (Marketing, Communications, Business) (Mandatory) #J-18808-Ljbffr
